A full fitting includes :
a. The interview with the player
It is essential to understand how the player
grasps the game,
identify his strong and “less strong” points,
define his priorities: increase his distance or his
accuracy, improves his feelings, change his trajectories.
b. Evaluation of his current set of clubs
There are three goals to such evaluation:
1. analysing each
club’s
quality of making and the homogeneity of the whole
set.
2.
grasping the golfer’s feelings or observations
when he plays his clubs.
3. defining to what extend the set fits the player and
his goals. Players too often think that their swing
is the only cause for bad shots.
c. The putter dynamic fitting
Between 40% and 50% of your shots are played with
your putter. This club is essential and is most
of the time not adapted. You need to be comfortable
with your putter if you want to play it well. That
is the reason why we have to determine together
(and dynamically) its length, lie playing loft,
whole weight, swingweight, and the design of the
head.
d. The wood and iron dynamic fitting
Once again, it is through a dynamic process that
the clubfitter can evaluate all the elements that
make your swing unique: the set up, the stance,
the grip, the different tempo between the back
and the downswing, the swing plan, the swing speed
at impact, the swing path…
e. Recommendations
Thanks to all this personal information, I will simply
and logically recommend you a possible set of clubs,
the lengths of your clubs, the loft of your woods,
the weight of your irons’ shafts….
It is neither an estimate nor an order form! The
fitting can be an end to itself.
A driver & woods fitting or a putter & irons
fitting usually last 3 hours and is €100.
A putter fitting is only €40. When
you buy these clubs the day of the fitting, you
will have a free fitting. |
